It is so nice to be getting healthy at the right time. Based on how the last couple months were going I figured half our team would be in the infirmary by this point |

True but he's skating so that's a good thing. I should have been specific about the area of health- forwards. |

I picked Jets in 6. Hoping that they win tomorrow and San Jose makes a comeback. Kane vs. Jets would be epic. |

The "D" ice time last nite is bang on for fatique and game management. Looks like the coaching staff must have had read the posts on HB and adjusted accordingly!
But seriously, this is a slugfest and we need to keep wearing them down. Like Pete says, having Armia and now Perreault coming back with fresh legs, and getting up to game speed quickly is just another element to manage. This will be Armia's third game on Monday so he should almost have the legs now to start stripping pucks on the back check and work the boards effectively. Perreault seems to get up to speed quick after injury so it is is good having these two fresh bodies to create havoc and skate hard at this point in the series.
I am so happy Connor stuffed a couple in. This is the best thing that can happen to a goal scorer to get his confidence going.
Should be a barn burner Monday!
Go Jets! |

I hear Nomis has a shot at your GM gig, for our sake I hope he gets it, for your sake I’d be routing for Fenton. |

If I were to make one prediction about the game tonight it would be that it will be a one-goal difference ( not including some late empty net goal). There will be no cakewalk tonight. Nashville will have their game faces on and the Jets know the importance of closing it out at home. Should be an epic match!
Once again, the first goal is so important.

"BEST TRADE EVER" - bennythehat
Kane was excellent for his entire San Jose tenure (so far). It’s a solid trade, yeah, but not a world ender.
We traded a top line forward (Kane) and an overpaid, injury prone #6 dman (Bogo) for whatever Roslovic tops out as, a solid 4th liner (Armia), an AHL forward (Lemieux), and an overpaid, injury prone #4/5 dman (Myers). |

Lemieux’s future is not written yet and Stafford was a serviceable forward during his time here.

I think Roslovic will be a top 3 forward on this team. He's still finding his place. Armia in my books is a top 6 forward. There is just too many guys ahead of him currently to make that push on this roster. I see Lemieux as being a future 3rd line winger. Myers is a top 4 defense man who hasn't missed a game this season. Jets rocked that trade!
However, nuff about that. I am hoping the Jets come out like world beaters tonight and become the vicious "predators" when they take out the Predators. Like my play on words?
Wheeler said it best during the Minnesota series, you can't give a team facing elimination any hope. He knows that best especially from his experience in Boston where the Flyers came back 4 straight after being down 3.

Kane was always a great player as an individual. Certainly does not make players around him better. Raslovic looks very promising, and Lemieux/Armia may not have scored 25 goals yet, but have been solid players on the team with the best bottom 6 in the league. Meyers has been great. I know you have never liked him, but he has not disappointed me one bit. It was a necessary trade and Chevy got the best return he could. |

Stafford was passable, but we did nothing with him, and got nothing for him. This is why he wasn’t included. |

Hendricks confirmed he is a gametime decision. Oh, crap. CharlieDog, we both forgot to confirm we’re also gametime decisions. |

Armia is unfortunately not a top 6 forward. He won’t be, either, as he’s about to be 25.
He’s a solid 4th liner whom struggles to produce with any consistency, doesn’t drive play very well, and has passable defence. Too many holes in his game, and too much of a reliance on linemates to play higher in the lineup than he is right now. |

Its okay to disagree. I am sure many people said the same about William Karlsson when he was a Blue Jacket. |

I bet its likely Little that is the gametime decision, and if he can't go, next guy up is Hendricks. So we will see what's up.
However, Bad knee and all (torn meniscus), I am confirming at this time that I am "in" tonite's game on the couch!! I am going to give it my all but I am "in! Beer and advil are an OK combination.
Go Jets!! |
